The Awakening and The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #1-2)
Release Date (of this edition): June 26, 2007 by Harper Teen

Elena: the golden girl, the leader, the one who can have any boy she wants.
Stefan: brooding and mysterious, he seems to be the only one who can resist Elena, even as he struggles to protect her from the horrors that haunt his past.
Damon: sexy, dangerous, and driven by an urge for revenge against Stefan, the brother who betrayed him. Determined to have Elena, he'd kill to possess her.

I have had this double volume of Vampire Diaries on my shelf for a while now, basically right when the show started. I don't know if I will ever end up reading it just because the TV show is so good. I feel like the book will never compare. And I haven't heard great things about the book, but I may give it a shot in the future. You never know!

Have you read this? Do you love the Vampire Diaries TV Show as much as I do? What's dusty on your bookshelf?

  2. I read this when it was first released in the early nineties and LOVED it! I haven't watched the tv series yet because I still have such fond memories of the original books when I was in high school. But, I've downloaded the first 2 seasons and will start watching them soon, just to see if I like them or not.
