Best Male Voice-Over in a Book Trailer: Lies Beneath

I usually have major issues with voice-overs in book trailers. They can sound unnatural and slow, almost like an audio book. But a book trailer isn't an audio book, and the voice-overs should be smooth, much like a movie trailer or a television preview. I was so happy when I saw the book trailer for Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown. The male voice over is perfect! I didn't cringe. In fact, I kept wanting him to speak! That never happens. I'm usually plugging my ears and wishing for words instead of a narrator. Which is why Lies Beneath has earned my award for Best Male Voice-Over in a Book Trailer.

What do you think? Is there another book trailer that deserves this award more? I was also pretty freaked out by the three "sisters" in the water that popped up out of nowhere. It caught me off guard and they were very creepy. I can't wait to read this book! Thoughts below!

  1. Agree!! Love his voice :) Usually book trailers make the narration like audio books, which I dislike because the draw out each word. This is perfect!
