Books into Movies: The Host (New Image with Melanie and Jared)

hostmovieposter-squared

The Host movie adaptation has completed filming and is releasing promotional material before the March 29, 2013 release date. The teaser trailer is out and it looks pretty awesome. Plus, I'm a fan of all the actors! A new image still was released by the Host's Facebook page and it features Melanie and Jared. Take a look below!

It looks interesting. If you've read the books, I'm sure it makes more sense. I'm just excited for the movie, and I'm waiting (rather impatiently) for the full length trailer to be released. If you haven't seen the cast interviews, I would go check those out. They are awesome, and make me love this cast more and more. There are also more images that were released a while back.

What do you think? Have you read the book? Know what this image is all about? Will you see the movie? Thoughts below!

    1. Have you seen the movie Hanna? The actress who plays Melanie is in it and she kicks some serious butt. I'm holding out hope :) Thanks for stopping by!

    2. I agree. That's exactly how I imagined Jared, but I imagined Jared to be more tough looking and more feisty. I also imagined her to be a little more tan with darker hair... I don't know, not super happy with her casting. :/

    3. Exactly! Darker skin and longer hair would be my preference for melanie! But she does have some gorgeous eyes!

  2. When I first heard they were casting her for this movie I thought she would be 'Pet'. I was a little dissapointed, but I've just accepted that they will cast whoever they want to cast. I can't wait to see the what they've done with it. I really did like the book, but I don't mind if it's a little different to the movie. There is no way they'll get it 100 % accurate anyway.

  4. I've read the book, and I didn't expect to see any of the actors they picked to be cast. But I'm still looking forward to seeing the movie. I think the Saorse (?) is a really fabulous actress and I'm confident she can pull off Melanie/Wanderer with ease and elegance.

  5. I'm feeling concern that the movie might ruin the book for me...?

So I'm not sure if I'd watch it - I might wait to see what people say...
