Books into Movies: The Host (Saoirse Ronan Talks Filming, Fans, and Playing Melanie)

Saorise Ronan, who will play Melanie in the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's The Host, has done several interviews for MTV. Three more videos have been released this week! She talks about playing two characters and the process during filming. In another interview she explains how she believes the concept is "incredible". I'm hoping this is fabulous news for the film. Check out the videos for the full interviews below!

It sounds like this movie is going to be phenomenal! Not to mention the fact that I'm a huge Saoirse Ronan fan. Love Hanna! I also think that this movie will be better than Twilight just because the material itself sounds better. Although, I'll confess that's just a blind guess since I haven't read The Host. It's pretty daunting with those 619 pages!! I'd have to work myself up to tackle that beast.

Have you read The Host? Planning on it? Will you see the movie? Like the casting choices so far? Thoughts below!

  1. Definitely watching this! Twilight was okayish for me but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED The Host. I've read the 'beast' multiple times. :P

    1. LOL! That's awesome that you read "the beast" so many times! It means it's probably amazing. I'll have to suck it up and read it sooner rather than later :)

  2. I read The Host when it first came out, and while I don't remember a whole lot plot-wise, I do remember really liking it! It was definitely a little more mature than the Twilight Saga.
