It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”

Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.

Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh, and same goes for her.

A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want, but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden…

I'm obsessed with the CW. In a healthy way of course. But if you're a lover of all things YA then the CW is the perfect outlet for all the young adult juiciness. They've adapted so many YA books, Gossip Girl, The Secret Circle, and of course The Vampire Diaries.

Embrace has a long mountain to climb before it will see the TV screen. After being ordered for script, it has to be accepted to film a pilot. Then this pilot will have to be ordered to series. Sometimes it isn't even a full season. The Selection by Kiera Cass went through a similar process last pilot season. It cast an amazing group of actors and filmed the pilot, but at the end of the season was passed over.

I hope that Embrace  has better luck. I'm crossing my fingers for another YA book to be adapted on the CW. I haven't read it yet, but coincidentally I just bought it last week! Can't wait to dive into the angel world.

What do you think? Have you read Embrace? Want it to be on the CW? Thoughts below!

  1. I haven't read this one either yet but I can't wait to because I've heard amazing things about the series and some guy named Phoenix :)

  2. Wow, this one sounds really great! It's definitely going on my wish list!
