The Rules
by Stacey Kade
Release Date: April 23rd, 2013
1. Never trust anyone.
2. Remember they are always searching.
3. Don’t get involved.
4. Keep your head down.
5. Don’t fall in love.
Five simple rules. Ariane Tucker has followed them since the night she escaped from the genetics lab where she was created, the result of combining human and extraterrestrial DNA. Ariane’s survival—and that of her adoptive father—depends on her ability to blend in among the full-blooded humans in a small Wisconsin town, to hide in plain sight at her high school from those who seek to recover their lost (and expensive) “project.”
But when a cruel prank at school goes awry, it puts her in the path of Zane Bradshaw, the police chief’s son and someone who sees too much. Someone who really sees her. After years of trying to be invisible, Ariane finds the attention frightening—and utterly intoxicating. Suddenly, nothing is simple anymore, especially not the rules…

Love the new meme! But then I like math and books. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of The Rules before. It sounds fantastic! Exactly the sort of book I like.
Thanks! I like math as well, so it was only a matter of time until we did this, lol :)
DeleteHi! This feature is amazing, I like the idea :) Never had I thought to combine math with books besides of school books :D
ReplyDeleteI`ll use this on my blog, if you will ;)
As for the rules, I have heard of it, though I`m not sure if I`ll read it. I`ve been into New Adult books lately and my Dystopia books are just sitting on the shelves :D
I've been getting into New Adult as well! The Rules is definitely more contemp/light sci-fi than dystopian though. So you may enjoy it!
DeleteNew Adult has grown rapidly in the last year, I just can`t stop finding more and more new titles that I`d like to read.
DeleteAbout The Rules I`ll try it out then :)
Totally agree! It feels like New Adult exploded overnight. But it's pretty awesome :)
DeleteThe Rules was really good, so if you do end up reading it I hope that you like it!
For me it started with reading Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire and after that more NA books showed up and I`m totally hyped about it.
DeleteThank you, if I do read it, I`ll state that you recommended it to me :D
P.S. Can I use my own banner for Book Mush?
Not a BD fan, but I really liked Easy by Tammara Webber. I'm following the hype too now though ;)
DeleteYeah, you can use your own banner for Book Mash! Just link back up to Nawanda Files. Thanks!!! :D
I enjoyed them both....very much :D lol
DeleteThank you, will do :)
Hmm, I noticed that I wrote Mush instead of Mash :d lol sorry
DeleteHah! What a fantastic idea for a feature! Of those books, I've only read The Host, so I don't have personal experience, but it seems like it makes sense. I am excited for The Rules, after reading Kade's Ghost and the Goth series.
ReplyDeleteHope to see more of these posts in the future!
I love this feature :) The Rules sounds awesome. I'm don't really like sci-fi too much, so this seems like a great books. Amazing review!
