Books into TV: 'Delirium' Casts 'So You Think You Can Dance' Winner as Hana

The leads have now all been cast for Delirium! Like The Selection pilot, the FOX in-development series is seeing lots of change-ups from the book. Hana is one of them that has a minor change in her direction. But luckily, the casting is amazing! Continue reading to find out more.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Hana will be played by season 5 winner of So You Think You Can Dance, Jeanine Mason! Worried about her acting chops? Well you can see her on the second half of ABC Family's Bunheads, which unsurprisingly is about ballet dancers.

This is actually a show I watch, and I can honestly say that Jeanine Mason is a great actress. I think she's an awesome addition to the current cast!

One of the huge change-ups is that Julian will have a thing for Hana in the pilot. "Julian is introduced right off the bat, as a sickly young man who lives next door to Lena's best friend, Hana, and is confused by his powerful attraction to her, though she's not particularly interested." So this may anger die-hard Delirium fans, or it might just work.

"Mason will play Hana Tate, Lena's best friend, who also faces the procedure that will cure her from the disease known as Deliria. Left to her own devices, Hana is a party animal and loves to hang out at underground dance clubs -- while she can still enjoy such Delirious pleasures. A flirty girl, it's revealed she ultimately is less rebellious than she appears."

Here's the current cast so far:

Lena - Emma Roberts
Alex - Daren Kagasoff
Julian - Gregg Sulkin
Tack - Corey Reynolds
Thomas Fineman - Billy Campbell

Is this how you pictured Hana? Have you read the book? What's your take on the changes?  Sound off below!!

  1. LOL. I'm beyond "picturing" the characters now. Between Delirium and The Selection, none of my fancasts have come even close.
