Paranormal

Indelible (The Twixt, #1)Indelible by Dawn Metcalf
Releases July 30th 2013 by Harlequin Teen

Bonus Tidbit: I've already read Indelible and will have a review posted soon. I can honestly say it's one of the most original paranormal stories I've ever read. You won't find anything like it on the shelves. If I had to compare it to a movie--think Snow White and the Huntsman meets Edward Scissorhands. Dark. Creepy. Fantastic! Dawn Metcalf has probably one of the coolest biographies. She's a second degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and is an amateur cartoonist. Her first novel, Luminous, released in 2011.

Science Fiction

StarglassStarglass by Pheobe North

Releases July 23rd 2013 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Bonus Tidbit: Hello space! There are lots of space books coming out in the Fall and Starglass seems to be leading the pack. I'll be reviewing this on July 17th. I've already begun reading it. The writing is fabulous and very engrossing! Phoebe North's bio is filled with awesome. She's a fan of Stark Trek and Degrassi, which basically means she has amazing taste. She's also a blogger over on YA Highway! So cool :)

Contemporary

Facade (Games, #2)Facade by Nyrae Dawn
Releases June 2nd 2013 by Forever

Bonus Tidbit: Our guest reviewer on Nawanda Files has already read and reviewed Facade. She LOVED it! This is a sequel to the highly acclaimed Charade in the Game series. Nyrae Dawn is one of the top fan favorite New Adult authors and for YA lovers, you should be excited as well. She's a co-author to a new YA contemporary called Out of Play out in August. And it looks amazing!

The Distance Between UsThe Distance Between Us by Kasie West
Releases July 2nd 2013 by Harper Teen

Bonus Tidbit: I've been a huge fan of Kasie West after reading Pivot Point, which was a light science-fiction/paranormal read. Truthfully, I thought her style would suit contemporary very well, which was why I was thrilled to learn she was releasing a contemp this July! It's pitched as Pretty in Pink meets Pride and Prejudice. How can you beat that combo?

OCD Love StoryOCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu
Releases July 23nd 2013 by Simon Pulse

Bonus Tidbit: I grew up on issue books, romances, and YA contemporaries. Before there was Stephenie Meyer, there was Meg Cabot and Sarah Dessen all over the shelves. So of course, OCD Love Story caught my eye with the crazy cool premise. This is Corey Ann Haydu's debut novel, and it's already getting good reviews. Definitely one to watch!

Fantasy

Of Beast and BeautyOf Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay
Releases July 23rd by Delacorte Press

Bonus Tidbit: Awesome title? Check. Beautiful cover? Check. Stellar early reviews? Triple check! Stacey Jay is no newbie to the YA scene. She's penned a handful of books, including the popular Juliet Immortal. A retelling of Beauty and the Beast might seem kind of boring, but Stacey Jay takes a dystopian/fantasy twist on it. Lili @ Lili's Reflections wrote an amazing review on Tynga's reviews for the book! She has never led me astray with recommendations, and this one comes with top praise!

  3. STAR GLASS! I want this one so bad. I love the cover. Ever since I read Across the Universe by Beth Revis, I've been looking for a good YA sci-fi space books and I saw this and I squee'd a little. Or a lot. The girl looks badass with a more than likely futuristic pea-coat looking out into the stars!
