Paranormal

Indelible (The Twixt, #1)Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Tucholke
Releases August 15th 2013 by Dial

Bonus Tidbit: The Devil as a teenage boy...ummmm...YES! This book is seriously already getting great reviews. And that cover *swoon*. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is the first book in the series, and April Geneviev Tcholke is currently working on the others.

Contemporary

Facade (Games, #2)The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
Releases August 27th 2013 by Katherine Tegen

Bonus Tidbit: Robyn Schneider isn't just an author, and honestly she might have the most eclectic, coolest resumes ever. She's a bioethicist and has also studied Sherlock Holmes! She has a beauty channel called Whispering & Stars and even vlogs about her own adventures like Comic-ConThe Beginning of Everything is already getting fabulous reviews and it looks amazing! Plus, with a writer who has so much knowledge about...well it feels like everything, it should be one hell of a book. Can't wait to read it!

The Distance Between UsTwo Boys Kissing by David Levithan
Releases August 27th 2013 by Knopf Books for Young Readers

Bonus Tidbit: David Levithan should be a household name by now. He's collaborated with so many authors like John Green and Andrea Cremer. His solo book Every Day came out with rave reviews. Now taking a stab at modern teenage love, this book will probably not only hit charts but earn awards.

OCD Love StoryJust Like Fate by Cat Patrick & Suzanne Young
Releases July 27th 2013 by Simon Pulse

Bonus Tidbit: After devouring The Program by Suzanne Young, I've made a pact to read anything this woman writes. Combine her with a sci-fi author of Revived and you have a novel that might just be the equivalent to gold. Duo-writers FTW!

Fantasy

Of Beast and BeautyThe Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
Releases August 20th 2013 by Bloomsbury Publishing

Bonus Tidbit: The Bone Season is supposed to be the first in SEVEN novels! That's crazy and on Harry Potter scale. So...it should be fantastic! If your hesitant about it then I suggest watching the book trailer. It's awesome, and swayed me into ordering a copy.

Of Beast and BeautyDoon by Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon
Releases August 20th 2013 by Zondervan

Bonus Tidbit: This one is based on the musical and Scottish legend -- Brigadoon. Granted, I've never seen the musical or know anything about the legend but this book looks amazing! Another duo-writing team and these two love musicals! With already great reviews, this book is destined for greatness

  1. OMG. LOVED Beginning of Everything and can't wait to get my hands on a shiny copy! The Program killed me so hell yeah I'm read Just Like Fate. Between the Devil sounds absolutely amazing and I can not wait to read that because hello? The devil as a love interest? Plus that title? YES!

  2. The hype surrounding THE BONE SEASON was just too much - and I had to read it. While I can't agree to the claim that she's the next JKR, I did really enjoy the book. I didn't love it, but it's still bothering me, two days after I read it! I'm also excited for BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, though I've read some not-so-great reviews for it :/
