No Sophomore Slump Here!!
The main problem with the first book was the infestation of romance that seemed to overtake the coolest part of the book: Mara's hallucinations. But Hodkin fixed that really well in Evolution, and it by far surpassed the previous book. Now I just wish we didn't have to wait another year for the third one to be released *sigh*
Storm was just an okay read for me. But Spark was a favorite read. I remember putting it down and being in awe. I actually bought a Kindle version too just so I could highlight all of my favorite lines!

If you've recently read my review, you know how obsessed I am with this book. It was just flawless like Breathe but it ties up all the loose ends and concludes the series. More than that, it managed to make me like a character that I wasn't too fond of in the first book.
This one made me cry ugly tears. And the twists -- I didn't see them coming. This is my favorite one in the whole series, and if you've read Unearthly, I highly suggest continuing and reading this one. You won't regret it!
This is my favorite VA novel out of the 3 that I've read. I love Adrian. Love, love, love, and he comes in hot. Plus Christian and Lissa's relationship fire up in this one too. I actually Wiki'd the rest of the series because the third book made me so mad. So I do not plan on finishing bc I know what happens, but I have Bloodlines on my shelf to start.
This one reminds me of Frost Bite. We head to a ski cabin in the sequel, and I just love the coziness and the drama -- it's so Everwood to me (with paranormal abilities, of course). So instantly loved this one more than the first book.
I love the Morganville series. They get better and better with each book because the world continues to expand. This is the third one, and I liked it because my favorite OTP finally starts making some big moves. The plot is also pretty crazy!
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets BY J.K. Rowling
RELEASEd June 2nd 1999 BY Arthur A. Levine Books
Introduce Ginny Weasley to the group and I'm sold (since I have an older brother, I was a sucker for the young sister tags along plots). I love this plot so much more than the formulaic first book. This one really shows that J.K. Rowling can masterfully construct a mystery.
I fell in love with Libba Bray's series when YA was just getting popular -- right before Twilight expanded the category into what it is today (even you don't like that book, you have to appreciative of what it's done for us as readers!) And I loved Rebel Angels so much that I made mixed tapes labeled Rebel Angels (yes, I was a nerd).
I couldn't think of a final book, but I did remember a comic! House of M comes before Messiah Complex and it's just awful. Not worth reading, but Messiah Complex is the aftermath of House of M, and it's just brilliant. And it goes down as my favorite X-Men comic of all time. Second Coming comes right after it, and that one is really fantastic as well.
