Underappreciated Hidden Gems Giveaway

We love these. You may too.

Krista and I talk all the time about books that we think should have tons of hype but somehow fall through the cracks. (And by hype, I mean becoming a new household name in the YA community. So much so that they reach the levels of Stephanie Perkins or Rick Yancey.) They're underappreciated, hidden gems that we love and we think you may too. Maybe you already adore some of these, maybe you've never heard of them before, or maybe you've always wanted to read them. Whatever the case, we're giving away one of the books below! Enter the rafflecopter for your chance to win ;) And keep reading to see why we love each of these.

The Summer I Became a Nerd  Insignia (Insignia, #1)  Dark Star (Dark Star, #1)

Split  Charm & Strange  OCD Love Story

The Program (The Program, #1)  Witchlanders  The Cadet of Tildor

Why We Love Them

  • The Summer I Became a Nerd: For being a voice comparable of Stephanie Perkins that's so dang endearing and adorkable.

  • Insignia: For being one of the best cyberpunk science fictions with a world and characters that could rival J.K. Rowling (no lie).

  • Dark Star: For being incredibly original, building unique superhero origins and creating unexpected twists from start to end.

  • Split: For being powerful and beautifully written, a soft spoken "stays with you forever" book like Laurie Anderson's novels.

  • Charm and Strange: For the twists and turns and the haunting characters. Reminiscent of Maggie Stiefvater's emotional, character-drive prose.

  • OCD Love Story: For being incredibly true to the subject matter and involving the reader (emotions and all).

  • The Program: For being one of the best organic romances in the past ten years. Thank you.

  • Witchlanders: For being an original fantasy that blends a brilliant world with dynamic characters. Brother-bonds have seen nothing until they've met this novel.

  • The Cadet of Tildor: For being a well-rounded fantasy with everything you could want: mages, kingdoms, military, and characters that you won't easily forget.

  8. All these books really ARE underappreciated, because I've never read any of them! *ducks head in shame* But if I won, I'd choose INSIGNIA, for sure. I came close to buying it once, but then decided to get something else instead, and then I started seeing all these rave reviews for it, so I'm taking that as a sign. ;) Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. I'd love to win The Program because the idea that suicide could be a worldwide pandemic is fascinating. It's hard to even comprehend it and exactly how the world would be able to handle it.
